Wharton Real Estate Club
The Wharton Real Estate Club provides networking opportunities, educational events, and career development activities for students interested in pursuing a career in the real estate industry, from property development and management to real estate finance and investment. The club has a mentoring program in place and seeks to give members the knowledge and experience that will help them find a successful career in real estate. Additional club services and events include Brown Bag Lunches, Days On The Job, Career Treks, Speaker Series, and Real Estate Master Classes taught by industry professionals. Career Trek Program
The Wharton Career Treks are location-specific programs in which Real Estate Club members attend pre-arranged information sessions hosted by Real Estate-related companies. From an employer perspective, participation provides convenient marketing exposure and the opportunity to network with talented students who are interested in learning more about your company. This year students trekked to Chicago, DC, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and other locations. If interested in Trek involvement, please contact the MBA Career Management office.
Samuel Zell and Robert Lurie Real Estate Center
The Samuel Zell and Robert Lurie Real Estate Center was established in 1983 by The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania to foster excellence in real estate education and research. The Center helps develop curriculum for the Real Estate Department and also serves as a liaison between faculty, students and business professionals. The center's success is based on the support of prominent industry leaders who constitute the membership. Members have special access to students for potential employment opportunities. They enjoy benefits at the Center’s annual Career Fair and are invited to join a Career Mentor Program. Members also attend Fall and Spring Members’ Meetings. These meetings provide superb opportunities to network with colleagues, meet with students and to discuss key issues facing the industry. Members receive research papers on real estate published in the Working Paper series and complimentary subscription to the Wharton Real Estate Review.
