SPA and PAC supported programs
Potter's House Mission Performing Arts Program
Penn Students involved in this program serve as acting coaches, dance instructors, and vocal coaches for children aged four to sixteen. They strive to teach proper technique and guide them in preparing for a capstone performance at the end of each semester. Along the way, the children learn about improvisation, scene analysis, various dance styles, and the basics of vocal training. In the fall, the children put on their own variety show, with a range of performances from comedic monologues, to gospel singing, to modern dance. In the spring, they perform in a truncated musical scripted by the Penn student instructors.
