What is T.O.R.C.H.? T.O.R.C.H is an acronym for the Technical Out Reach Community Help program developed by the National Society of Black Engineers in 2000 to address the "digital divide," the gap between those who benefit from new technology and those who do not. NSBE chapters, in partnership with Intel Computer Clubhouse Network and local community centers, engage in community service aimed at increasing knowledge and understanding of digital technology.
Our chapter is currently working with the Mantua Community Center to establish our own T.O.R.C.H program in response to the national initiative.
