About KSA
The Korean Students Association consists primarily of second-generation
Korean-Americans whose goal is to promote the education and enrichment of
its members and the university community with aspects of the Korean culture.
The club and its activities are open to any and all who are interested in
the Korean-American community, although KSA's various social, cultural, and
political activities normally tend to cater to fellow second-generation Korean-Americans.
Cultural Events
In the often overwhelming and sometimes chaotic Penn schedule, it's easy to
forget those things that, well, make us "Korean." KSA organizes many
events that promote cultural awareness and also look to reach out to those
in the greater Penn community. One of the main highlights is the annual Korean
Cultural Show that brings together many unique traditional as well as more
contemporary performances. Some examples are both drum and fan dance exhibitions,
a Korean A Cappella group, an original movie, and many others.
Social Activities
While it is important to learn about and promote the Korean heritage and
culture, KSA also works to foster close friendships among our members with
events that are fun and enjoyable for everyone! Whether it's parties downtown
or the much needed pick-me-up snack at a late night study break, we want our
members to have a great time while meeting others.
