Youth Service Opportunities Project (YSOP)

MISSION

To become more informed, open-minded and compassionate through helping the homeless in New York City.

 

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Fed 500 homeless people in our soup kitchen sites

Learned about the lives of people in poverty and

connected with them on a personal level

Made many people smile

Made new friends

Served hundreds of people in a very direct way

Learned about the many different programs helping the needy.

Friendly conversations with other volunteers

Talking & connecting with the homeless we served

Waking up at 5:45 am to see a Conan O’Brien taping

and being the last person to get in!
