MISSION

To help Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity give its home owners a “hand up” while getting to know other students.

 

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Learned about the organization

Learned to saw, trim, nail, and put in doorknobs

Trimmed rooms

Painted the interior of a house

Layed a roof and made frames for a house

Climbed 40’ ladders

  Participated in a Women’s Build

Learned plenty of construction techniques!

Mia laughing at everything all the time for no apparent reason

Waking up to Billy Joel, Backstreet Boys, Jimmy Buffet @ 7 am

Rusty Scupper Restaurant

Playing charades in Union Station in D.C. (Gihantha did Gone with the Wind,

Greg did Shrek)

Putting 40k nails in the roof
