Alternate Spring Break 2002

Project H.O.M.E.
Orland, ME


MISSION

To assist the H.O.M.E. cooperative community by helping with construction, farm work, and the mills.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS


 
  • Shingled houses in Dedham
  • Set fires without fuel
  • Cleaned out the barn
  • Worked the saw and shingle mills
  • Split firewood
  • Bonded over a campfire
  • Learned about the foundation of H.O.M.E., St Francis Community, and the Land Trust
  • Left our Liberty Bell in the volunteer center.

ENTERTAINMENT

  • Hiking on Bald Mountain
  • Visiting Thunder Hole in Acadia National Park
  • Eating lobster in Bangor
  • Making smores at the campfire
  • Watching "Dude Where's My Car?"
  • DRIVING
  • Playing Bop It!
  • Dinner at the Farm
