MISSION

The work for the Penn group with the Mount Diablo Habitat for Humanity was in Pittsburg, California. Like Pittsburgh, PA, Pittsburg, CA was a steel town. Habitat worked on resurrecting the surrounding area of the steel mills. Points of interests include San Francisco (30 minutes away), Monterey (beaches and snorkeling), Napa Valley (wine country), Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, and Berkeley. 

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Painted exterior of two houses
  • Painted interior of house
  • Laid concrete for a driveway, walkway, and stairs
  • Installed ground drainage system
