   
You will be involved in daily construction projects. These projects will help Habitat for Humanity meet its goal of providing affordable housing to families in need. You will be immersed in a community and be in contact with people who deal with the issues of poverty and homelessness on a daily basis. You will not be alone. You will joined by 13 other students,
two of which will be site leaders. These site leaders will be training
in facilitating discussions, dealing with issues, and bringing your group
together.
Charleston was founded in 1670 by the English and the Irish who named it after King Charles II. Charleston actually has a diverse background drawing from the culture roots of the early English, Irish, French, Spanish, German, Swiss, Santa Domingan, African, American Indian, and Caribbean.
