From the Tony-Award winning composer of 'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee' and 'Falsettos', Tony-Award winning bookwriter of 'Into the Woods' and 'Sunday in the Park with George', Tony-Award winning arranger of 'Parade' and 'The Last Five Years,' and the director who brought the hit comedy 'Rumors' to Penn's campus last semester, 'A New Brain' is an energetic, sardonic, and emotionally affecting musical about a composer during a medical emergency, surrounded by his kind lover, overbearing mother, a brash homeless woman, friendly co-worker, and the eccentric doctor and nurses of the hospital.

"Jaunty [with]...captivating eccentricity." - N. Y. Times.

"Apt and original . . . A fascinating story." - N. Y. Post.

"Filled with beguiling, buoyant melody [and] witty and original lyrics... The kind of musical theatre invention we have come to expect from this gifted artist." - InTheatre

More to come in Fall 2008...
