Lambda Grads is the overarching organization for LGBT graduate and professional students and their friends at the University of Pennsylvania. We organize social and educational events to promote an active LGBT presence and community on campus. Lambda Grads organizes events independent of and in conjunction with other, more specialized LGBT groups. Our events are always open to everyone 21+ (we usually serve alcohol).

Events We kicked off the 2006/2007 school year with a great party at the LGBT Center on campus. Just recently, we had a pj party and raised several hundred bucks for a charity for children with HIV. Now we're working on events for the rest of the spring '07 semester. So far, our plans include hosting a dinner party/art lecture during QPenn, and an end-of-semester party. None of this is set in stone but check back on this page as we'll list the events as soon as they're finalized. Or, better yet, join our listserv to get the latest. Go ask Alice to sign you up. Alternatively, visit us on Facebook (probably the best place for the latest).

Sweat Faris runs a bi-weekly, Lambda Grads-sponsored spinning class at the Pottruck Health and Fitness Center. Join the listserv for info. Go ask Alice to sign you up. If you join the Lambda Grads group on Facebook, you'll get the invite and updates.

In addition to the above, we have periodic, informal meetings at which we plan our events, catch up on how/what/whom everyone's doing, drink, eat, goof off, and work. These meetings are open to the entire University community. To find out when these meetings take place, and to get the scoop on other LGBT happenings on campus, subscribe to our listserv. Go ask Alice to sign you up or do the Facebook thing.

Help out It takes a lot to run an organization and plan events. Help us do both or either. If there's something else you'd like to do that you think would contribute to the group and LGBT life on campus, please let us know. You can mail any or all of us with suggestions.

The LGBT Center at Penn provides lots of information on the other LGBT groups on campus and lists most of the LGBT happenings campus-wide.
