About this Guide

About the Originator

This guide was started in 1995 by the former chair of iNtuitons, Daniel K. Haley and was meant to be a reference for our own use for linking other groups at the University of Pennsylvania. Somehow it expanded and boy did it expand! It went through a number of transformations and the groups that asked to be listed came in from all over the place, all over the United States and then from Europe. We were surprised, and kept modifying the page to keep up with the times. Actually, that is wrong. After being yelled at for months, the aforementioned person got an email account for the group so the board could stay in touch easily. While he was making a homepage, for publicity purposes, he thought "there should be a page that links all the college theatre sites." But there wasn't. So he set out, and collected all the links he could find; there were about ten. As more groups and companies got on the web, he added them. Soon he was flabbergasted; the listings were far too extensive for a single page! Then the current illogical organization was adopted.

Second Generation

The second edition of this page came in the summer of 1996 after the board transition when Ben Marcus, the new chair was playing around with frames and hoping to add a new flair to the page by incorporating new tricks the web offers.

The Next Version

The new format of both this guide and the iNtuitons homepage in general occurred two years later, in summer of 1998. Manlio Lo Conte, the treasurer was working with more graphic design and web tools, and decided to update the look of the page. Most of the html code remained the same, but almost all the old pictures were scrapped, and Manlio created new ones that better fit the new style of the page.
